From a few of our Students ... in their own words

"The first day in the door of ICT I was wondering what would happen inside.
I was so nervous. But when the chefs started to talk to us I felt motivated, safe and confident.
I had to question myself deeply inside. I thought it was just a school, but I saw magic there.
This place changes people's lives. There is nothing that can stand in my way.
Every single good step I would achieve in life starting right now, the credit goes to ICT."

"I am just so thankful for the teachers for their time they offered to teach us.
They did their best to help me become a better person and to make something of my life.
Even when I had problems you stood by me. You have helped me lift up my spirit.
When I was down, I tried to hide it. Thank you for seeing right through me.
Thank you for caring so much about me and all the others.
Thanks for helping me change my life for the best. And for helping me become somebody."

"I have learned valuable life lessons during my time at ICT.
I have grown in confidence and have done things I never thought was in my DNA.
In my previous work experience, I was brilliant at being mediocre.
At ICT I've begun to understand why I did it and I've been given tools to never be mediocre again.
Thank you for believing in me and thank you for helping me believe in myself."

"My life is totally different now. The culinary world has totally grown in me.
I've never been this happy and excited about something like I am about cooking and food.
I find it so fascinating, so interesting. I believe this is where I belong.
And if I continue working with the people I work with and with the support of ICT,
GOD, I BELIEVE I WILL MOVE MOUNTAINS AND REACH THE HIGHEST LEVEL."

- Selby Sikoti, class of 2011
